Steve Jackson Podiatry Meet the Staff


Steve Jackson

Steve has been practicing podiatry since 1995 and has worked in a variety of specialised areas in both the public and private sectors. He consulted to the Fremantle Football Club as their team podiatrist from 1999 till 2005 after being a part of the clubs inaugural medical team in 1994.

Between 1996 and 2002 Steve was a director of the Australian Podiatry Association (WA Branch) Steve has worked extensively in paediatric podiatry working in early intervention teams for a number of years treating childhood foot problems.

For a number of years Steve lectured undergraduate podiatry students on sports and paediatric podiatry units. In recent years Steve established an outpatient ulcer clinic for diabetic patients at Osborne Park hospital.

Steve is now working solely in private practice.


Jason Lim

Since completing a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at theUniversity of Western Australia, Jason has worked in metropolitan Perth, remote Kalgoorlie and regional Bunbury.

This has provided him experience in all areasof podiatry, including chronic disease management,paediatric podiatry and sports podiatry.

Jason describes himself as a passionate podiatry nerd, with special interests in complex biomechanical care, heel pain, running injuries and performanceoptimisation.

Furthermore, Jason has worked closelywith orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons, providing himwith experience in surgical triage, and post-operativerehabilitation.

Jason has also provided injury screening and rehabilitation to the Southwest Academy of Sports(Bunbury), and members of the Australian Defence Force.

Outside of the clinic, Jason is a lover of corgis, an avidrunner, and an infantry soldier in the Australian Army Reserves.

He also provides mentoring to podiatry students and is an active board member of the Australian Podiatry Association.


Kate Nelmes

Kate started her Podiatry career in 1996 after graduating from the University of Wales Institute in Cardiff. Kate obtained additional Post Graduate Certificates in Diabetic care and management andSports Podiatry.

During her time practicing in the UK, Kate workedin the NHS (Public sector) for a Diabetic Foot CareTeam while also participating in an investigative study on Diabetic related foot ulcers. She later worked in private practice where she was responsible for treating patients for all podiatric complaints while ensuring high standards of care across the practice.

After moving to Australia in 2008, Kate continued working in private practice including reinstating and maintaining an aged cared clinic in Gosnells and mentoring Graduate Podiatrists before taking timeoff to be a full time Mum.

Kate enjoys all aspects of Podiatry including Diabetic and routine care, sports injury management and nail surgery.
